A two-car crash on Highway 6 near Tillamook, Oregon, injured four people, three seriously, on August 22, 2010, according to an OSP press release.

Around 2:45 PM, a car driven by Vi H. Nguyen, 43, of Clackamas, entered the westbound lane of Highway 6, pulling into the path of a westbound car driven by Ruby Benito, 28, of Tillamook. Both cars came to a stop in the westbound lane.

Nguyen and his two passengers, Dyan Huynh, 36, and Shally Tran, 27, were seriously injured. They were transported by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.

Benito sustained minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Tillamook General Hospital. There were also four children in the car she was driving, but thankfully, none of them were injured.

All the individuals involved in the crash were using safety restraints or child safety seats.

The highway was closed briefly, then limited to one lane of traffic for about two hours. State police were assisted by Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency personnel.

We send our thoughts and wishes to Nguyen, Huynh, Tran, and Benito as they recover. We are deeply grateful that none of the four children in Benito’s car were hurt.
