These are real stories about our real auto accident clients. All names of individuals have been changed to protect the innocent and the guilty alike. But names of insurance companies are real, and the details of what happened have not been changed.
Cases we have recently accepted:
1) Nina was riding her bicycle toward an intersection when an SUV made a left-hand turn directly in front of her. After hitting her, the SUV driver drove away! Nina was left in the street with a crushed elbow, broken clavicle and damaged hip bone. She was quickly taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The police eventually found the driver who hit her and he was charged with felony hit-and-run. Nina is currently recovering while our Portland personal injury lawyers work to get her compensation.
2) Gale was riding in a car with her family when they were rear-ended on 405 in Portland. The driver who rear-ended them, a teenager, might have been on his cell phone at the time as he was driving erratically even before the crash. Gale was visiting her family from her home in California, so after the accident she was not sure what to do – especially as she needed extensive chiropractic treatment for her injuries. She was referred to the Portland personal injury lawyers at Shulman DuBois, and they agreed to represent her against Hartford Insurance.
3) Rebecca and her boyfriend Dan were on their way back from vacation when they were rear-ended on their motorcycle. Headed north in Oregon traffic, they were pulling a trailer that was hit by the driver behind them, disconnecting the trailer from the hitch and sending it crashing into their motorcycle. Rebecca flew off, and injured her leg – in fact, she broke her leg so severely she eventually needed surgery. Dan was severely bruised, though his injuries were not as serious as Rebecca’s. After hearing about our book, 7 Common Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Oregon Accident Case, on the radio, and ordering it, Rebecca and Dan decided our Portland personal injury lawyers were right for them and hired us to help recover medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
4) Sam was stopped at a red light behind several cars when he was rear-ended. An exceptionally hard hit, the crash forced his car forward and the car in front of him was also pushed forward – causing a four-car accident in total. After this hard hit, Sam went to the ER and was referred to a chiropractor. Besides long-term treatment, Sam’s car was totaled and he missed work. Now, he is working with the Portland personal injury lawyers at Shulman DuBois to make sure the insurance company compensates him fairly.
