Portland Named in Top 5 Best Bike-Friendly US Vacation Destinations

Bicycling keeps growing and many travelers look to getting around a new city on two wheels. Travel Pulse recently published a list of the top 5 best bike-friendly US vacation destinations and Portland made the cut. The other four are Boulder, San Francisco, New York/New England and Minneapolis.

Portland is very serious about biking and the Portland Bureau of Transportation says by 2030, more than a quarter of all trips will be made by bicycle. There are lots of great resources for bicycle maps and routes around the city. Although we don’t have a bike share program quite yet, it is in the works and looks promising for the future of Portland. The abundance of parks nearby and bike friendly bridges make Portland a truly great place to get around on two wheels.
