Victorio-Alvarez\u2019s injuries were not life-threatening.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe driver of the truck that struck the men, Francisco Roberto Lecaro, 36, of Perris, California, left the scene of the crash. Ontario police found Lecaro at Love\u2019s Travel Stop &amp; Country Store.<\/p>\n<p>Belton and Victorio-Alvarez wear wearing reflective vests. According to BakersfieldNow.com, it was snowing heavily when the men decided to apply chains, and KGW.com said several roads were closed in Eastern Oregon due to treacherous weather.<\/p>\n<p>Oregon State Police troopers and a collision reconstructionist are continuing to investigate.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Oregon DMV, hit-and-run is a serious crime, and conviction will result in your driving privileges being suspended or revoked. In any accident, you have the following obligations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stop at once. If anyone is killed or unconscious, you must stay at the scene until a police officer arrives.<\/li>\n<li>Render aid. Do not move an injured person carelessly, but give reasonable aid<\/li>\n<li>Exchange information with the other driver. Give them your name, address, driver\u2019s license number, license plate number, and insurance information. DMV offers a printable checklist you can download and keep in your car.<\/li>\n<li>Report the accident to DMV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We implore drivers in any accident situation to put the safety and welfare of others above their own interests, and always, always remain at the scene and make sure no one is hurt.
