Michael Lawrence, 38, of Anchor Point, Alaska, was seriously injured on October 6, 2009, when his motorcycle hit a truck in Oregon City, <\/a>Oregon, according to The Oregonian<\/em>. The collision occurred around 9 PM as Lawrence rode east on S Partlow Road; the truck, carrying three occupants, was southbound on S Central Point Road.<\/p>\n

Lawrence was wearing a helmet but sustained serious head injuries in the crash. Rescuers transported Lawrence to John McLoughlin Elementary School, where a Life Flight helicopter could land. From there, Lawrence was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland. As of October 7, he was listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n

None of the truck\u2019s occupants was hurt in the crash, and Oregon City Police personnel were continuing to investigate.<\/p>\n

Our hearts go out to Lawrence and his family during this difficult time, and we wish him a fast and full recovery.
