{"id":2409,"date":"2011-04-29T08:12:20","date_gmt":"2011-04-29T15:12:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdxinjurylaw.com\/blog\/?p=2409"},"modified":"2011-04-29T08:12:20","modified_gmt":"2011-04-29T15:12:20","slug":"highway-99e-accident-fatality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pdxinjurylaw.com\/es\/highway-99e-accident-fatality\/","title":{"rendered":"Accidente peatonal en la Carretera 99E resulta en fatalidad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> April 16, 2011<br \/>\n<strong>Ubicaci\u00f3n:<\/strong> Highway 99E South of Woodburn<br \/>\n<strong>Nombre:<\/strong> Susan Elizabeth Dorhman Larson, Robert Moore<\/p>\n<p>Susan Elizabeth Dorhman Larson, age 56 of Woodburn, was struck and killed by a 2005 Dodge Neon driven by Robert Moore, also age 56 of Woodburn.<\/p>\n<p>According to Oregon State Police news releases, at about 8:25pm on April 16 a southbound driver on Highway 99E near milepost 33 braked to avoid hitting a pedestrian who ran across the highway toward the west side shoulder in a dark, unlit area. Robert Moore, age 56 of Woodburn, was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon following behind the first driver and swerved toward the shoulder to avoid a rear-end collision and ended up striking the pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p>Although LifeFlight responded, the female pedestrian died at the scene. Moore was uninjured.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>There is no marked crosswalk where the collision occurred.<\/p>\n<p>The Oregon Department of Transportation reported that this was the 18th pedestrian fatality so far this year compared to 20 during the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the woman who died in this tragic accident.
