The Portland Tribune<\/em> reported that a man who was cited for careless driving caused a 3-car crash in which a woman was ejected from her vehicle.<\/p>\n

Darrel Bell, age 61 of Lyle, Washington, left a grocery store driveway and tried to cross the westbound lanes of Division Street in his Mini Cooper, failing to yield the right of way. Lisa Thompson, age 43 of Longview, Washington, was a backseat passenger in a 1989 Honda Civic that collided with the Mini Cooper, and she was ejected from the vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the \u201989 Civic to spin into approaching eastbound traffic and crash into a 2009 Honda Civic being driven by Jaelyn Corsine, age 22 of Gresham.<\/p>\n

Thompson sustained head injuries and was transported to Oregon Health and Science University where she was listed in fair condition. The front seat passenger in the same vehicle, Sandy Olsen, age 60 of Gresham, also was taken to OHSU where she was treated for neck, back and leg injuries and released. A 2-year-old girl, restrained in a child safety seat, was uninjured, as was the driver of the \u201989 Civic.<\/p>\n

Corsine was transported to Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
\nPolice reported that alcohol and speed were not determined to be factors in the crash.<\/p>\n
