Two vehicles collided in the predawn hours when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and was hit by a commercial truck along Highway 36 in Willamette Valley.<\/p>\n

Oregon State Police troopers reported that Mark Crawford, age 59 of Pleasant Hill, was driving a GMC Sierra pickup heading north on Lawrence Road at about 5:50am when he blew through a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 36 west of Cheshire.<\/p>\n

Crawford\u2019s vehicle was struck by a Peterbilt truck driven by Curtis Fisher, age 36 of Brookings. Fisher was driving for South Coast Lumber Company. After the impact, the pickup went into a ditch and rolled over; the Peterbilt rolled onto its side in the ditch.<\/p>\n

Crawford and his passenger, Alan Crawford, age 61 of Springfield, were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend with non-life threatening injuries. Fisher was uninjured. All three occupants were using safety restraints.<\/p>\n

Crawford was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device \u2013 the stop sign.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, no one was killed or seriously injured in this Oregon truck accident. We hope that all of the occupants will fully recover from this scary \u2018close call\u2019.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
