One of the worst things that can happen to a cyclist is getting their bike stolen. Three young entrepreneurs were working on inventing a solution to that problem by creating the world’s first \u201cunstealable\u201d bike<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The idea began when one of the inventors had his bike stolen and wanted to come up with a solution to such a frustrating issue.<\/p>\n

How the bicycle works is that the frame can be dismantled and then reconnected to transform into a lock, making the bike its own bike lock.<\/p>\n

The bike is has a steel frame with an aluminum downtube that can be split into two parts, which allows the tube holding the seat to form a lock. The seat tube connects to a component on the bike\u2019s front area to create a firm lock to place around an unmovable object.<\/p>\n

The idea is that a thief would have to go through the trouble to saw and destroy the seat tube, which would make the bike worthless and a terrible idea to steal.<\/p>\n

The bike is called the Yreka, and it already has its first batch of 300 bikes ordered thanks to an investment fund and Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
