A Portland man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash<\/a> on August 25, 2010, around 2:25 PM, on I-84 near Troutdale Oregon, according to an OSP press release.<\/p>\n

Damion Louis Wilson, 39, of Portland, was westbound on the highway when the pickup truck he was driving veered onto the center grass median and crashed into a sign pointing to a highway work zone. The pickup then traveled back over the westbound lanes, rolled several times, and came to rest right side up about 50 feet off the right shoulder.<\/p>\n

Wilson sustained serious injuries, and was taken to OHSU by LifeFlight. It is not known whether he was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

We send our best wishes to Wilson, hoping he recovers quickly and regains full health.<\/p>\n

While accidents like this one can seem black or white, a closer investigation will sometimes turn up a surprise. Many will assume that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, or stopped paying attention for some other reason. And perhaps that is exactly what happened.
