Things to consider are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Was the witness driving and focused on avoiding the accident? Or were they a nearby pedestrian watching it from a short distance?<\/li>\n<li>Did they observe the accident from start to finish?<\/li>\n<li>Could they tell if a car was speeding?<\/li>\n<li>Was the witness distracted by something else?<\/li>\n<li>Is the witness relying on their own personal observations or ones of someone else?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Things to consider about the witness\u2019 character are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is the witness a convicted felon?<\/li>\n<li>Do they have a reputation for dishonesty?<\/li>\n<li>Do they have a relationship with someone involved in the accident and have an interest in the outcome?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another factor to look at is the witness\u2019 physical condition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Does the witness have poor vision or hearing?\u00a0 If so were they wearing glasses or a hearing aid?<\/li>\n<li>Was the witness intoxicated at the time?<\/li>\n<li>Does the witness have poor memory?<\/li>\n<li>Do they seem easily confused?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another problem that could arise is that people observe events differently.\u00a0 Now you see some of the factors that affect the credibility of your witness and the main thing to take away is to make sure you know the story the witness is providing so you understand it is the most reliable testimony.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contar con el testigo adecuado puede ser decisivo a la hora de reclamar por un accidente.
