{"id":1518,"date":"2010-07-09T08:00:17","date_gmt":"2010-07-09T15:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdxinjurylaw.com\/blog\/?p=1518"},"modified":"2025-04-08T17:32:26","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T00:32:26","slug":"woman-dies-crash-beaverton-lawyers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pdxinjurylaw.com\/es\/woman-dies-crash-beaverton-lawyers\/","title":{"rendered":"Portland Woman, 80, Dies in Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> June 22, 2010<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> U.S. 26 &amp; NW Cornell Road, Beaverton, Oregon<br \/>\n<strong>Names:<\/strong> Betty Jean Joseph, [Unknown]<\/p>\n<p>An 80-year-old Portland woman died June 22, 2010, around 3:35 PM, after a driver apparently ran a red light and crashed into the car she was driving.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Portland Tribune, Betty Jean Joseph, 80, of Portland, was on an overpass on U.S. 26, driving through the Northwest Cornell Road intersection, when witnesses saw a 1994 Isuzu Trooper run a red light and hit the driver\u2019s side of the car Joseph was driving.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Isuzu has not been identified, and an investigation is ongoing. No citations or arrests have been made.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts and wishes are with Joseph\u2019s family, and we hope that the investigation turns up some answers for them.<\/p>\n<p>Although we don\u2019t know exactly what happened to cause this crash, it reminds us that driving is a serious responsibility.
