Oregon State Police troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured four people, two critically and one seriously, on Highway 140 near Medford, Oregon, according to an OSP press release.<\/p>\n

The Oregon car-truck crash occurred May 22, 2010 around 3:15 PM as an eastbound pickup truck driven by Benjamin Panter, 30, of Bandon, approached the highway\u2019s intersection with Kershaw Road. A passenger car operated by Leslie Ryder, 20, of Astoria, was southbound on Kershaw Road. Ryder, in the car, stopped at the Highway 140 intersection, then proceeded southbound through the intersection and into the truck\u2019s path.<\/p>\n

Ryder received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Rogue Valley Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Two passengers in Ryder\u2019s car were critically injured. Cody Porter, 18, of Astoria, and Christopher Bowling, 20, of Eagle Point were transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Panter received minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Providence Hospital.<\/p>\n

Police said speed and alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors, and all occupants in both vehicles were wearing safety restraints. Because the investigation is ongoing, no citations have been issued.<\/p>\n
