A 41-year-old man was struck by a car and killed on I-5 in Albany, Oregon, on March 22, 2010, around 9 PM, according to an Oregon State Police press release.<\/p>\n

Roger Wolcott Blakely III, 41, was trying to cross the southbound lanes of I-5 from west to east on foot, when he was struck by a car driven by Dana W. Bishop, 60, of Springfield. Blakely was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Blakely\u2019s last known address was in Southwest Portland.<\/p>\n

None of the occupant\u2019s in Bishop\u2019s car, including his wife and mother-in-law, were injured.<\/p>\n

OSP troopers could not locate a car belonging to Blakely, and they are continuing to investigate.<\/p>\n

If an Oregon pedestrian is hit in a crosswalk<\/a>, it is generally considered the driver’s fault.
